The want is strong...
I know me TOO! I'd either want the red that matches the trim on my bike or I was thinking about the satin gold that matches the trim rings on the gauges. That's a down the road thing though. That $3k is a steep entry fee. I know they're worth it but I'm ball'n on a budget over here.

I installed a brand new Valentine V1 Gen2 radar detector!!! Yeee haw, there will be no more Bluetooth dongles because the new one has it built in. The BT dongles are buggy.
got some pics? curious to see how/where/blahblah. seems like getting power is one of two options, pretty cut and dry. i myself would have second and third thoughts about where to mount the unit for best detection though, keeping in mind access to the rear and whether someone still uses oem mirrors.. hm, dunno.

wish rizoma would hurry and make some mirror sexiness for this bike

Raced a Challenger50 on a highway, no contest. Also, came up on a dodge superbee, he didn't want to play or he knew no contest. I heard the challenger 50 downshift with his paddles and as soon as I heard him step on the gas, I rammed the throttle and looked a few seconds later and he was 1/8 mile back, hehe, yeeee haawwww, get down on it brothers!!!!!!!! Then, I get back in the right lane on cruise at 70mph, he slowly came up on my left and checked out the bike and probably saying, what is that!! Ya know, I actually wait until afternoon when I know they're going home from work. I wait on the entrance ramp out of sight and watch and listen with busa running of course and when they pass, I'm on them in seconds, sooo much fun. come home smiling from ear to ear shaking. Great entertainment for a 68 year old! My wife says, you're gonna die from that one day and I told her well when you come to identify my body, I'll have a big grin on my face!

Phalse. I used the rubber suction cup mount and two-part epoxied the suction cups to the top of the inside of the windscreen. I then put vibration foam tape almost 1/4 inch thick. The unit end sits on the foam and works great. Press the mount tab, leave the mount in place, and bring the unit inside. I can see all my gauges. The v1 app sends the alert in my Sena helmet setup, and I can also see the red lights from the unit too.

There are times when I encounter a tuner car out on the back roads that seems to have some sort of desire to test me.....not all the time but sometimes I accommodate them and leave them for dead.....I can picture them thinking "what kind of bike was that?"

I too sport a grin when I do that.....my son calls it "doing the Millennium Falcon going to light speed" I've done it to him when he was on his GSX750.....he said he saw me nod, got ready to run me then watched me disappear into the distance...

it's apropos. Hayabusa means [peregrine] falcon, first available in US in 2000. I'm honestly surprised I've never seen a custom paint job with that theme. Thought about it myself...

So what is the point of removing the rear brake rotors and going with one rotor up front, just trying to shed weight?
It all depends on the style in which you ride your busa. One of the methods used to eliminate weight, rotational inertia, and more speed, this is the route to follow.
