What did you do to your other motorcycle today ?

We have a thread with this title on the ZRXOA forum so figured to throw one on here as some of us tinker with everything .
After 7 months stock was enough . The Tiger was striped for mods . First up Smart moto Purge valve delete , K&N air filter , De cat stock header , and a new mid pipe / carbon 14" exhaust can will be here Tuesday . Oh was this cat fun to remove . After trying the clam shell approach it was screw it . Cut each end completely off , and weld it all back up . I wont be gaining much in power 3 to 5 maybe , and weight reduction of 10 to 12 pounds . However the sounds should be very pleasant now .
I was collecting parts for last 6 weeks to start this , and since I finished my customers bike it was time to work on Tigger :)

The only other thing I have with 2 wheels is my bicycle...I rode it today and did the usual maintenance...(put the kickstand down and walked away...).

I suppose the entre system for Tigger is costly?
only Free spirts makes a full header @ 1000 usd , and no time frame to fill order . I'm doing this more for heat reduction than power. Think Ill buy a little header wrap , and wrap the area under oil pan , and up mid pipe just past right foot .

Yesterday, noticed a 5" crack on the L backside of the Busa's fr fender. I couldn't see it, even when staring right at it, but when pressure was applied ... it was ugly
Betcha something large shot up off the back of the front tire. Good thing we have that mesh shield over the oil cooler.

To answer the question of the OP, all I've done so far is think about riding. School just ended. Tomorrow I'll reactivate the insurance, get the battery in the ZX-14 and maybe take it for a spin. The busa still sits waiting for completion of winter work and there's a few new things I've done with it which I'll post on the appropriate thread(s).

I would not take that bet, but am certainly checking the radiator tomorrow morning. Nice catch.
Have fun on the ZX run!
I have a black fender
Thanks, B :)The ORG's Franken-Busa LIVES!! (c10's Garage has your part!)
Pit Bull claims the fender must be removed in order to fit the neck into the tree (??) I'll play with that when it gets here so keep the black fender handy if that's convenient, else I'm gonna see if I can plasti-weld it from the inside.

I was able to fit the hybrid lift without removing the fender but my front end is at stock height. It's a tight fit so take your time when putting the stand in.

You ever debate ceramic coating versus the header wrap? I've always done the coating but wasn't sure the benefits either way other than cost

I had one header coated , and it seemed to help but cost / down time was terrible . 250 bucks for a yamaha twin cylinder header , and it started to flake / rust in 2 years . Wrap because I can do it myself , but I didnt lol , and put it back on the bike already .

That's crazy pricing! Maybe I'm lucky here but it's much cheaper and I have yet to have it flake or peel. Header wrap is def a better option them for you.

Height setting for it to fit in.

i completely forgot that you can remove the wheel like this but if you need the fender off the bike, you do need to remove before raising the bike.

Attention!: Our headers are NOT homologated for road use.

Attention!!!: Wouldn't buy them if they were.

What did I do to my other bike??? I got the battery in the ZX-14 and off I went today. Nothing too extreme, first ride of the season. Sure is great to hear the exhaust crackle going off throttle. Hot weather here and that is just what I like for a ride. Tomorrow is another hot one. I'll go a little faster.

@HayaWakened, incase you have never used a steering pivot stand, heres a tutorial I made for some dude on my other forum. It should work the same for the Hybrid stand as it does for the one I have (Newfrontstand - I don't even know if they make that one anymore). The only thing is the Hayabusa requires a different pin than the one I use for the bike in this tutorial. Keep that towel over the fender when you are inserting the and removing the pin and you can't go wrong.
