Took the bike for a nice ride through the countryside...along came a tuner car on my back-side. So I did what we Busa riders do best, I dropped a gear and made it disappear....

I stopped off to fuel up before I came home and that same tuner car came into the gas station and asked me what the hell my bike was.

I told him and he said well, I'll know better than to try to go against one of those.

I then told him I didn't even go over 9 grand on the tach and that's about where the power band gets real.

Actually a pretty nice young fella...he was surprised when he noticed I was an old grey haired guy....
What’s this “drop a gear” you speak of?

i was having starting issues with my 1441 high compression motor very slow turn over and stalling, got progressively worse starter motor now at 120,000 miles

so i purchased a replacement starter motor from UK agent they make performance starter motors and alternators for motosports.
just not sure if this is Chinese purchased with their design input. They also undertake rewinds.

new OEM is £536 , 2nd day OE on ebay £300

this was £280 including taxes and delivery instock
fitted and now the engine spins faster , no stalling.

Success :D

It's from powerbronze..
The only thing I didn't like about it is the mesh part was silver..all their huggers for the Gen 3 are like that but nothing that a little spray paint can't fix..
Best part..no drilling
Hmm when I purchased mine were wasnt "carbon" look available, still sits in the box as wont fit with 200/55 tire :D going to replace to 190/55 and see.

Weird...I had the same hugger on my 23 with the 200/55 no problem.
They have 3 options I think it is since 2023 at least that's when I got the first one

Reattached the oil cooler and radiator. New oil and put on the silicone hoses, but had to trim 2...water pump-engine (fat one) and thermostat-radiator cap (long ass one that goes around the valve cover). Couldn't find smooth clamps to use on the thin hose from water pump-engine so I'm reusing the original. Filling her with fluid and checking for leaks tonight!

Unfortunately, no change in engine/exhaust volume with the new header gaskets  really hoping she would have quieted back down.

a further 2 issues sorted along with the Aftermarket starter motor , i took to my local dyno shop.
we removed 5% of fuel at cranking rpm , and now bikes starts again faultless at Cold and Hot engine temps. :D

secondly last year i was lucky when i found 3 badly worn cam buckets as if oil starvation after 5,000 mile 12day trip on billet inlet cam.
well i had doubts in head that as well as removing metal and deformation of bucket that i must have worn a rising cam ramp on billet cam.

so took to the same dyno as 214rwhp measured November 2024 after the final remap of new 1441 build i am happy to report i recorded 214hp SAME and extra 1 lbft torque @127.9 lbft

So no loss of performance - happy days :D
