What Did You Do To Your Busa, Today?

Have you checked your air filter? I ask this because I had an issue with high silicone content (silicone=dirt) on an oil sample I sent to be analyzed and ended up replacing the air filter. I will be sending another sample at next oil change to verify that my problem was resolved.

I would have checked the air filter today but ran out of time. First time pulling the fairing so took my time. No pins left over, but it did lead to a 2-hour oil change. And then, of course, I had to take it for a spin cuz, you know, changing the oil makes the bike faster

Replaced HRC line due to it not holding up well after a few thousand miles.
Finished ZRX1200R engine build, and the ZRX 1100 seen in the photo. 1200 motor on pallet behind green machine.
Busy week lol.

Well, things are much better now. Got her all back together again. Learned some valuable lessons about DIY maintenance! Motul 10w40 full synthetic change complete w/ new k&n filter. First time out, everything seems fine. It does shift a little smoother. Just crusin’ around at speed limit!

Really digging the carbon fiber foot peg assembly! Is that a complete assembly how you bought it?

Cleaner look, and that section never gets dirty from chain lube sling off.

The previous owner had it painted. I would not have done a mod like this but, I’m getting used to it. Just can’t tuck in and rip it.

Ti Hardware and fairing arrived
Radiator guard arrived as well.
Will need to pull the radiator again though so I can have the spout changed in the left side.

Started it! It has sat for 5 months with no battery tender. Almost started. A few min on the charger and she fired right up. Put it back under cover untill our house closes and then I’ll bring it home

Radiator out will be sending it to the radiator shop tomo to have the inlet flange changed over from my gen 1 radiator.
Oh and started anodizing!
