I would love to assist. The reason being, I'm looking at replacing my tires/sprockets/chain in about 2 weeks. Tire installation will be done by the dealer, but the sprockets and chain I would like to do. I havn't replaced a chain before. Doesn't look too hard. Where is Stephens City? I live in Virginia Beach.

As much as I would like to go on the pre-ride 25 March, I cannot. My wife's b'day is that day. Unfortunately April is out also. I will be underway that month. Are there going to be any other rides happening now till end of March? I live in Virginia Beach. Anybody in the area want to ride? pm me.

When and where is the busa bash? Hopefully it won't be during April or May. There is a STN Rally in WV in June, anybody going?

Stephens City is up near DC... pretty dang far from VA Beach

The busa bash is April 26ish til the 30ish. Its in Robbinsville NC and there will be another one in the fall so you can make that one if you are in town. There will likely be something happening in your general area in the summer time and there might be a few folks up in DC the last weekend in March for the Cherry festival (tbd on that)

Otherwise, maybe something down to the OBX this May/June

sry didn't catch this sooner... Stephens City is 86.2 miles west north west of DC.... It's a long haul to VA Beach but I've done it on one of the group rides, thing is the tires wont last that long....

Seems like there are a lot of busa riders up north. I would like to make a trip up there sometime before late March and hook up with you and VaBusa and whomever else want to ride. I need to see what others are doing as far as up grades go.

I need to get new tires and replace my chain/sprockets before making any long trips (trips that are 3 or more hours a way).

Did you go with the stock gearing? True/False: I've heard that if you go down 1 tooth up front it's the same as going up 3 on the rear. I have no idea. Are there any web sites that talk about this?

I and some buddies are really thinkin about making the Cherry Blossom run in late march in DC. I'm sure the locals would come out as well.... and yeah there are a lotta active club members in the NOVA/DC/MD areas. We have a few down here in NC as well and there's a few guys in central VA that just dont post much but show up for events

As for gearing... I believe -1 = +2 not +3. Depends on who you listen to, but going -1 puts more strain on your chain than just going +2 out back. When I switch, I'm probably just going to go +2 in the rear and call it good. -1&+2 will get you a beast to ride

And there's a few guys that make the banners for members, dunno if Martin made his or got it from someone else. If you have photoshop or similar, its pretty easy stuff
