You will be hit with strong cravings, but they only last for 2 or 3 mins. They will
get weaker and fewer. In about 1 year they will be gone. It takes that long to
get all that stuff out of your system. Quit back in '71.

It's been over 7 years and I still get the occasional craving for a cigarette. I just don't give into it. I'm pretty sure the cravings will never go away all together. Hang tough John. You are doing great!

I feel your pain. Tomorrow will be five days without one smoke. It is very hard and all you do is look for an excuse to have one. Good Luck!

Sounds like yer gonna beat them Just don't make the mistake of having one for old time's sake in another year or so or you will be back at it Made that mistake the first time I quit for a year... Time is your friend, the first days are the worst so if you got through them, you are good to go. Keep it simple, no butts.

Every case is different. 1 yr is a rough rule of thumb. Occasionally I get
a nasty dream that I'm back doing a pack a day again. after 40 years.
