OK so Ive been fortunate to be gone at work all day so I had a real excuse to not check the board. I had no malicious intentions and it was all in good fun. RSD was the only person I told and that was just because I didn't want him calling me all night asking questions... (He's persistant ya know)... I was somewhat touched by the emails and the offers that were made and there are personal responses coming to each one of you. I did not know that so many folks would take this as seriously as you did. I apologize if anyone was offended but looking back and to quote Larry the cable guy "That was funny I don't care who ya are"
wwwwwwoooooooooooooooo You guys ever been in a situation where it seemed like a good idea before you did it and then when things started getting bumpy a whole new perspective came seeping in.....
When I pulled the plug last night I was laughing so hard and my wife (Busagal) was making maps to where you guys could come and find me... She warned me and in my guy voice I told her to mind her own business. I laughed and went back and forth with Andy on ICQ for the longest time and no big emails or anything last night. When I woke up this morning I got my coffee and sat down to an inbox full of email and offers for money, hosting, you name it.
When the emotion and desperation began to show on SH.org and the temp forum it wasnt funny anymore. However I told Andy that if I pulled the trigger we had to see it through to the end... 12 hours of the org offline... At around hour 10 it became funny again when the pissy emails started rolling in and the conspiracy theories started rampant... I told RSD that at noon when I turned it back on that one day we would all look back and laugh... Actually I never stopped but I hope that you folks will forgive me.... If we dont have some fun its not worth it......
For what its worth we are financially holding on fine right now, the raffles are doing well and the donations are still coming in.... For those that questioned my integrity and values let me just offer the sincerest "BITE ME" that I can offer.
By the way my wife says that I can finish this post and then I am grounded and she is taking my admin rights away and RSD and I will be in the Rookie status.
If anyone is so upset that we need to talk just let me know......
