Great question man! Most forums, I' m like WTF?! What is "BlK3af7g4BJHVLKJ" supposed to mean?? ??? Not that "BlK3af7g4BJHVLKJ" is on most of the forums I visit, it' s just an example of how some usernames make no f-ing sense!
That being said, I first started visiting forums after I bought my first car (second vehicle I owned, but first I bought). That name was specific to that car. Three years later, I bought a new car, and changed to something specific to this car (which I still own, and never intend to part with). I went with something fitting the car and myself at the time, LoSt1. L-S-1 for the engine in my 2001 Z28, and the Lost-1 was for the fact that I was working for a construction company, that required me to move to a different city and or state after each job. Never knew where it might take me. I was also single at the time. Ofcourse, that name could have been inspired slightly from the "Duke boys" handle on the Dukes of Hazzard, "Lost Sheep." Wow, that was a round about way to get to my current name. Gave you all a bit of a history lesson, that you probably coulda done without and can care less about. It' s 2:30 AM, and I MAY be a little delirious. Phew, now without further adue (sp?).....I was once married to the mother of my daughter. Just as things were starting to look up....wife finally got a JOB, it came to light that she was emotionally, if not otherwise involved with another man. The guy she was involved with, was someone I knew very well (or atleast thought I did), someone I considered one of my closest, and best friends. I felt horribly betrayed by pretty much everyone around me. I already had problems with my side of the family, then my ex-wife loved someone else, and a best friend screwed me over for a chick??
There was a stand-off between us somewhat similar to Obiwan and Anakin in Revenge of the Sith...save for the light sabers.
So, I changed my name to represent my independance, because I didn' t need anyone who would double-cross me, and went with my all-time favorite movie character, "Darth" and "Z" for my Z28.
