If the guy has a bank account, why can't he make a paypal account. I do understand that there are fees. BUT it saves ish like this from happening. Im sorry to see it turned out this way man. Seriously though, if this isn't taken care of. I vote we make a new section of known scammers and sticky it. This may get lost in deep space nine and it might help someone in the long run not get scammed.

I could literally do this all day. I've had so many scammer posts, its second nature now. I especially love (like I wrote above) how they switch from a buyer/seller, to some Swedish chick, to a guy from Africa that needs your acct number cause someone left you a Quazillion $$$

Go to your bank open a internet fund account, most times it's free to open an account. Send him account info and let him return funds, move money to your regular account. You now have a unassociated account you can use for your internet stuff and never have to worry about anyone stealing more than you ever have in there...Let him make it right. You were trying to save money by sending it, thru a straight account allow him the same chance...Don't let your emotions or the guys emotions here , interfere with you getting your money back. It's easy for the mob mentality to try and outweigh common sense sometimes but there is always a road less traveled that can get same end result...
