Bike cops are always harder on bikes . If you go to court you should be able to get the ticket deffered . you will have to pay but it won't show on your record . In Wa. you can do this I think once every 4 years .

You were speeding, you got caught.

Just do what I did with my $600 fine last month.

Pay it and pay more attention to the other vehicles on the road.

Spot the a$$holes before they spot you.

If you want to be a hero and run, you better be sure your a damn good rider and hope they havent got your plate first. You can get locked up for that shid.

Cheers
Ross

X & K band radar beams are not accurate enough to pick a bike out of a pack unless it is in front of other vehicle by a good margin. It will pick up the largest (and usually closest)vehicle which the beam bounces off of.[/QUOTE]

I run an escort 8500 and always keep a "rabbit" in front of me. Several occasions THEY got banged. The CHP passed me to nail them.

I'm a bit confused why a Motorcycle cop is able to actually stop a BUSA? I'm not advocating running from our wonderful tax collector...err.....police force.....but in general I think motorcycle cops single out other motorcyclists because they view themselves as some sort of biker behavior improvement specialist.

I've only had one ticket in my life riding a motorcycle and that was given to me by a motorcycle cop. I got a ticket for failure to come to a complete stop at a stop sign. I did everything BUT put my foot down but for all intense purposes was stopped. I wish now I had gotton a lawyer but I just paid the damn thing. Just the principle of the thing. The cop was right in front of me at the stop trying to radar speeders. I even waved at the f'ing guy in typical biker fashion before he pulled me over. Maybe the thought I gave him the finger or something lol....well I can tell you that is sure as sheet what I give cops now.

I have zero respect for police anymore, not just because of that dumb ticket, but because this whole watching out for my safety is the biggest crock ever invented. There are two kinds of people in the world, those that need to call a cop when they need help and those that don't. Only reason I'd ever see a cop is if someone calls one out to come get me, or is giving me a ticket. What possible sympathy should I have a a profession that can ONLY be negative for me? So to pipe in my opinion...sell the babies dirty diapers and pay to get a lawyer...no matter the outcome you'll not be left wishing later you fought it, like I did.

two words...ANGER MANAGEMENT. Running is smart...not...Only morons run. Too much at stake when you run; consider it the cost of doing business. If you can't accept the risk of being pulled over then get a different hobby.

Learn to use the system to your advantage. Many times, having an attorney fix the ticket is much less than the original fine itself.

I know guys that can defend themselves and get the ticket reduced or dropped. But it you do not have the time or experence to do this, get a lawyer Even if it costs more than the ticket, it costs less than the amount your insurance will go up. I don't think banket policies for speed limits are correct, but I stop when the blue lights go on. I consider it road use tax. What bothers me is the insurance jumping because of it.

I refuse to stop for a BS ticket on the open road. But, you also have to consider the conditions in which you decide to run. Busy neighborhood?, no.
Open highway, nobody around and your cruising a few miles over....i'm not stopping. Screw that.
Tickets.....It's not about safety, it's about your money. That's all.

Getting a lawyer is a G/D waste of time.
You can pay the ticket,or try to fight it and not only loose money from not going to work that day,but you could also still loose the case.
You better have a good defense. The best thing you could have on your side, especially if you are pleading that you were 'singled out' on a motorcycle is maybe an on board camera that would show other traffic going the same speed if not faster.
I was really only kidding about bending the plate and running,I have never done this, and have always stopped for the crooked cops!
You cant win! They'll get you.
Yes there are cool cops that will let you off,but IMO,when they pull you over and you are on a busa, you are all done!

You live in the peoples republic of Massachusetts. The entire system is rigged. PM me and I'll tell you how I know.

flew past a cop in Detroit doing 187+. Never turned on his lights...

Welcome. Got pulled over twice last year, but not cited.

Use wire ties on your lic. plate. when you are in town it will hang normal but at higher speeds it doesn't and cant be read. Don't know how NV is but in Ohio State Troops top out at 140. Thats cruising speed for a Busa

Oh and red is the fastest color on a Busa
