For the record I have gear. I chose not to use it. I just don't have super gear

I have a 4x helmet. No one that I want make any for me but I have one. I have a leather jacket and a joe rocket jacket. I have gloves. I don't have riding pants or boots but I do have boots.

Next time I may rather sweat then be cool.

Not that this happened but I doubt anyone here loads up a trailer and puts gear on and everyone I know does a lil ride before they load (few 100 ft). Point being we all still take a chance here and there.

I have full gear, and I wear it even on the hottest days.
I also like to cruise in a t-shirt, shorts, shoes and helmet.
It's a personal choice and we all know the risks, I hate gear nazis.

I'm by no means a gear nazi, I just didn't want you to not know where to get stuff that fits you. I always wear full gear on the track, or if I'm going for a "spirited" street ride, but not always other than that.
