Suggest a "New Members" section where all those pesky FAQ are stickyed.  That way, a conscientious new member will go straight there, do his/her research and not ask the pesky questions that pop up week after week.

I perfer the light colored skins, with dark colored skins the type(words) are hard to see with glare or lots of light in the room reflecting on the monitor.

I wouldn't mind a liter bike forum.

Most of all, PLEASE can we get a cornering, knee dragging smilie(emoticon).  There is a drag bike one;

but no head turned into the corner, knee dragger.  I promise I'll use it, a lot!!

Thoughts and Suggestions:


1)  'General Bike' should stand alone as it generates the most volume (13,500 topics or so).

2)  'Random Thoughts' and 'Other Forums' can easily be combined since so many cross topics already exist in both.

3)  'Top Speed', 'Turbo', '1/4 Mile', 'Twisties' and 'Racing Tech' seems almost redundant.  Maybe these can be combined in one "Performance" forum.

4)  'Tech' should not include 'New Owners FAQ' in my opinion since 'New Owners FAQ' isn't really tech.

5)   'New Owners FAQ' should be a stand alone forum at the very top of the list and could contain all the lovely sorts of 'TRE' questions.

6)  'Products and Classifieds' also seems well organized.  Leave it be.

7)  A hostile issues room is not a good idea - in fact it's a lousy idea.

8)  A Liter bike forum will quite likely bring in all sorts of riff raff 'garbage' newbies and give Rubbah apoplexy.

9)  I must be some sort of fricken genius because I've never had a problem using the 'search' function.

How about An "I Need some parts" section . That way if someone has something That they are going to sell they can check to see if a member needs it first . Also a "Don't buy from these guys" section so we don't all get @%#$ by the same sellers. Longer times on the topic tracker. Pashnit.com has a cool feature that tells you how many new posts theres been since you were last loged in , you can click on it and only see new posts. Thats all I can think of right now .

1. Change the colors/skin and the Microscopic text. These two make it hard to read 2am, 4am, 5am whenever you wake up in the middle of the night!! Talk about sore eyes LOL I am hurting right now lol.
2. I am not crazy for the way I can click on page 5 to read something, then 1 month later come back to the site and still be on page 5! and not 'reset' back to page 1. LOL talk about cookies or something LOL
3. Add a member of the week section, Dating profile section, Hayabusa vs litre section, Hayabusa vs cager section.
4. For the WAP version of this site (which is very pleasent btw) It would be nice to view WHO is replying to your messages.
5. Make sections a little LESS hidden. I still find sections I did not knew existed here, Thrasher fox found the Classifieds section for me.
6. How about we get a FRIGGIN CHAT ROOM going on here?

But all in all this site as is KICKS ASS!

Just a few comments here.

1. Don't change the skins. If you do then I'll be forced to relearn PhotoShop just to make my signature background match again. That'll take me a dam month.

2. I think the board is fine, although I do tend to agree that the search results page has way too many results. Even when I'm searching for an old post that I know the name of exactly.

3. Instead of a "Liter" bike forum, why not just make a "Other Sportbikes" forum? Of course, then you'll have to add a "Harley" forum, and then a "Cruiser" forum........Oh hell, just forget it...I'm getting confused now.

4. Finally...I've got an idea to help those "visually challenged" people find the search button. See the attached image.

I like this site Cache. I know of a few guys around Houston that like this site also, but ride 1L bikes. Most of them visit other sites for more informative stuff about 1L's. If you add a 1L section I think it won't attract very many new members. Is that what your looking to do or do you want to add a section for current members to go to for info. concerning 1L's.
Alot of friends of mine ask questions concerning their bikes or others, and if there was a 1L section I would use it to obtain info,. concerning any of their questions. Or just direct them to this site.
But the site is great and full of good info. and I'm sure the 1L section would also be.

I never did understand why newbies were treated as bad as they are on some sites.

When this site was down in late 2002, I tried to enjoy myself at other places... still visit all of them but 1.

Love the classified section.. But the items or bikes that are sold could be deleted.. Mabie?
Donating members should be able to post in the gallery, I log in and it says invalid email..

How about a product review section...maybe its been mentioned, but havent had time to read all the posts on this thread. Would be a nice clean option to keep people up to date on what works and what doesnt. Maybe a sticky at the top the mentions "Good Guy" people to deal with concerning business owners.

I'm also with Aughtsix but with a couple of mods.

Instead of the stickies that do take a lot of top space, maybe a FAQ page with a list of the most common questions and links to the threads. The problem with all the stickies is that the new items fall off the page pretty quickly.

I'd like to see a geographically specific set of sections rather than a single forum. It makes it hard (to me) to be able to see what might be going on in my area. I don't think it needs to be a state by state section (too many), but maybe a northwestern, southwestern, south, northeastern, etc. It might also start up some get together threads that might not have been started before.
