Getting a bone stock 09, what should I do first as far as upgrades?

Looking out for you making sure noone is scamming you. I just see some red flags excitement can sometimes cloud our vision.

You not for sure if it's a 08 or 09? what owner telling you?

You don't know title staus?

Pictures look like scam type photos, i ask where located cause of the tag on the bike..

You say bike is sold, so you purchased a $6500 bike you haven't seen, touched or know nothing about is all..

I'm happy for you if it all works out, but also don't want to see a local ripped off over the net, seen and heard it to many times..

Ya they didnt know alot about it as they were not bike riders. I offered to put a deposit on the bike until I could pick it up and they said dont worry about it they would hold it for me until I could pick it up. Ive been in constant contact with the owner since. Im pretty net savvy and would be astonished if someone could scam me. I do appreciate the concern though.

Working on a new fun webpage... sneak peak at all the pics of mods....

Not in blue, but you can get them in Raw. Which can then be powder coated, painted, etc.

Normally they come in Red, Black, Gold, Chrome, or White.

The 'raw' is in stock for the Gen-II as of today.

Over 30 posts and nobody has suggested proper gear :poke:
A good helmet, jacket, pants, boots and gloves is first thing you should buy if not already in hand before spending money on the bike.

Other than that don't stay up too late racking your brains on mods. You'll go crazy. :)

Awe man! I just bought some cool shorts and thongs that I thought would match pretty well. Figures.

So your saying its an 08? I haven't seen the bike in person yet or looked at the title so I dont know. Spikes and chrome? Ive spent enough on chrome on the Harley and I dont want any spiky things anywhere near me when Im going over 100 mph. I was thinking about making a seat with razors around your nuts. Ill bet that would sell well to the spiky bike community lol.
I screwed up brother, it's probably an '09. I think everyone assumed you were gearing up. If not make sure you take care of you as your first mod.

Slam it, stretch it, strap the front end down, lose the mirrors, 4-2-1 exhaust (brand of your choice) K&N, Power Commander, dyno tune, re-gear it, air shifter, 30 shot of N2O, ditch the back tire and get a Shinko Hook Up or U-Soft. That should get you started. Then make a B-Line for your local track and start working on your 60' times.

Im not sure how to do a search for this question so I might as well post it. Im getting my 09 Busa this week and wanted some tips or advice on where to start. I heard that the front brakes sucked. Is this true? Which ECU tuner should I look at or is it necessary at all? Sorry if this is vague but I havent but my butt on the bike yet. Thanks for any tips.
They are great bikes stock, nothing really "sucks" on them unless you're into some type of racing....for just reasonable street riding they don't need any mods. The gen2 busa is freaky fast, and since you haven't even ridden it yet, I'd at least ride it a little as is before you start throwing money at it  Then you'll know what YOU think it needs
