as some of you may recall?...I came down with some serious symptoms consistant with diabetes 5 months back...and since ceased all sugar/carb intake and have been losing weight at a rate of approx 10LBS per month...going from 5'8" and 247lbs too right at a current 200lbs and oddly enough?...my busa has/had been (ever so gradually) becoming more and more uncomfortable for me as my arms and wrists seemed to be encountering more and more weight on them each time I rode and I was like...wtf?...my silver biotch usta be real comfy and...it didn't click right away but then it hit me...the big old puss gut I usta have?...usta rest nicely against the tank giving my upper body support...but now with the weight loss?...annnnd..a 1 1/4" genmar riser?...there wasn't nuth'in between my gut and the tank but air...and my arms and wrists were doing all the "supporting"...until today...when I "Demodded" my busa by removing the 1 1/4" genmar riser....which also revealed another gremlin...which I repaired....and I'll let the pix speak for themselves from here...

waaaay more pluses now as now?...I can finally get the full benefit of the puig touring windscreen and I'm the boy in the bubble even when I'm not in full tuck...(the 1 1/4" genmar was cancelling that advantage out as it kept me jacked up...along with the old puss gut I lost.

I can actually see all the gages now (at all seating positions annnd...

my gut is now back to resting on the tank and supporting me like any good gut should do.

More important than offering good luck with the comfort demods, good luck with the weight loss and health concerns. Diabetes can be very tough, so hopefully your changes will prevent its onset.

should have checked those clearances mr machinist!

that lower left bolt needed to be ground down about 3~5 threads to clear the cable at a full left turn.

Sorry to hear about your onset diabetes. It's good to hear that you are taking steps to improve your health. Must feel good to be able to tuck like them MotoGP guys eh..

didn't you respring your forks and shock? I'm sure you had the adjustments made perfectly.

BTW-? about one of your famous post. Laden Sag on front forks supposed to be 3.449. What # I'm supposed to look for the rear shock from swingarm to tail? That meas. is for full extension without any weight right?

Anywho, glad to hear things are starting to look good and you're feeling better. Peace..

Dacol...This brings up yet another interesting point as follows...

I got to thinking about rearsets and the affects of their use with the 1 1/4" genmar riser and concluded the following...

The genmar riser causes the upper body to be positioned ("rotated" about the hip axis if you will) upwards towards a more vertical riding position and while the addition of rearsets typically could possibly allow for more leg room?...(when adjusted in the more rearward most positions)...with the genmar and rearsets you'd be bending your body the wrong way for comfort...and to understand what I'm saying here?..you'd hafta envision the riders body and riding position as..."Rotating About/Around The Riders Hip Axis".....as the genmar causes the riders back to bend up and rearward while the rearsets would cause the riders feet to be moved rearward as well....not a good combination when it comes to comfort....as now "the rearset feet" dictate that the riders upper body should be postioned in a "more rolled forward and down position" rather than the "supported up and rearward" position the gemar riser dictates..bending the riders body in half...backwards....as the more your feet are set back?...the futher down and forward your upper body wants and should be....and any sort of bar riser would be counter-productive to such "Tucked Yet Stretched" comfort.
