This is an Idea I got about 3 years ago and it has been moving along slowly. We made some prototypes with 3d prints (nope, no pictures) and they are in the process of trying to get a patent. There are a couple of similar products apparently so pretty sure won't get a patent. Anyway this model is the original one I did and the current version is small enough to fit in a 4" x 5" x 2" bag. The material will be cast aluminum. The arms are now geared and the rollers much smaller to aid in storage. The 2 sides come apart. You slip them around the rear tire while the bike is on the side stand. You then tighten the threaded rod which lifts the wheel so the bike's weight is on the roller. Then you can service the chain.

looking for portability. Use it out on a road trip.

If the size and weight is as you propose I’d bet this would be quite a sale able item for every chain driven bike that’s used for touring. Do it! I use the Quick Stand but if you make it I’ll buy one, if the price is right.:D
