Simple Green. Kerosene is probably better, though.

WD40 and spray chain wax.

You've been here over a year, are closing in on 2000 posts and you're just getting around to cleaning your chain now?

no, i've cleaned my chain 500, 1000, and now about to clean again at 1800.

i ran out of the stuff i used and dont have the can to reference for my next purchase of product.

i remember i used honda lube which i liked. probably gonna return this lube pictured above and get the honda lube. that stuff was great, did'nt fling off. unless someone's familiar with the product pictured above and can recomend before me using. otherwise i'm going with honda lube.

gotta figure out what i cleaned it with, or find something new/good. so...here we are.

1. Ride bike get chain warm.
2. Spray with WD-40 let soak.
3. Take rag and wipe down chain.
4. Use compressed air to blow left over WD-40 off.
5. Apply lube, I use the dealer white stuff!

611 Chain cleaner or Orange Cleaner and Grunge Brush. That Grunge Brush is an awesome little helper.
