Break in a busa in C mode?

Hi,

Just bought my busa but dont have any big bike experience.

Does C mode shut down cyclinders or something?

Just wondering if it is ok to break it in in c mode.

Also, what is the best way to break in?

Ride it like you stole it? Or stick to the manuals recomendations.

Can't go wrong sticking to the manual.

C mode tunes the engine down in performance. All cylinders are fully functional. As far as what mode to break in the motor... manual should state if it is required.

I was told by an engine builder to break them in like your going to ride them. Which is more aggresive than what the manual suggests.

The only time I ever use the mode selector is if I get caught in some nasty weather and don't feel like I have the presence of mind to handle the throttle.

I've used the hard breakin on the last dozen or so bikes. This method gives you an additional 2-3 HP and does a better job at sealing the rings. However, the factory breakin is fine as well.

Nothing wrong with going by the book.

The biggest thing to me is to vary the rpms. Constantly loading and unloading the motor for the 1st bit.
I break mine in NOT by the book bit that's me.

I broke mine it just like I normally ride. The only thing I did different from normal is I did not maintain a constant rpm.
