I've found myself in situations where someone wants to prove something, and I'm the standard they've chosen to measure themselves by. People think that being a bigger guy prevents people from wanting to start sh!t. That is not always the case. If I've heard "Oh you think you're tough because you're big" once, I've heard it a thousand times!
I can imagine...so many idiots out there. One of my close friends is a big guy too and when he was younger people would challenge him....(little did they know he was not only a big guy but tougher than Christmas candy...).

Ouch.....I only use dumb bells for chest presses now.

I hurt my shoulder years ago on the job and sometimes it gives out unexpectedly which sucks in the middle of a heavy straight bar bench. At least the dumb bells are easier to drop.

My bench has catches , and I only do baby steps of 5 lb increase when looking for a new one rep max.
My wife strong as she is gives me the look when I asked about 2 months ago for a 245 lift . My retired NFL neighbor would but he works evenings mon - friday so thats out . Looking forward to one son coming home from the Marine Corps in June . His 4 are up , and college is next for him . Maybe he will join old man in the garage . Then it can go next level .
