How would you know if the zx10 will leave the Beemer. Their are not any specs out yet. Either way I don't care.

I think The new ZX10 will be lucky to stay even with the BMW let alone leave it. BMW caught the japanese with their pants around their knees and their hands around their d*cks on this on...its going to be a few years before the big 4 catch up

I have been looking hard at the BMW, but not as a replacement. My busa is paid for.
When I look in my mirror at 180+, I don't see a BMW, /shrug

It's funny that BMW releases a 1000cc sport bike and not only does it seem to eclipse the Japanese bikes but now it's all over the drag world.

Makes me wonder what the BMW guys were planning for real when they thought this out.

I mean it's their first 1000cc sport bike, they haven't been doing it for years like some of the other companies,

I am all for it as I can't wait to see what Yamaha, Suzuki, and kawasaki bring to the table...:thumbsup:

Oh yeah, get both...

Are you talking street? The Japanese don't put out max effort on their street bikes. Look at racing in all levels, I don't see any BMWs on any podiums yet. Japanese design is better and more reliable, thats why Porsche and BMW paid Honda to copy their V-tech technology back in the late 90's.

Being this is a Hayabusa site, opinions are going to be biased....I personally would love to have both! The BMW is a very serious bike! The Hayabusa is a very serious bike! I wouldn't trade the Busa up for it tho, keep that forever, especially yours!

I read this thread through and I still don't know for which purpose the beemer would be used. Quarter-mile, landspeed or showing off?

I had the beemer for a test ride and it felt like a track bike with the usual pros and cons (cornering and braking was spectacular but riding comfort was less than spectacular). But it's also seriously fast on straights; a stock bike with an Akrapovic exhaust made 188mph on a one mile landspeed event last month.
