anybody race the new bmw??

whats up guys..im wondering if anybody raced the new bmw 1000R?? a friend of a friend has one and wants a shot at my busa.. i guess when you have the the fastest bike people always want to race it and see if they could dethrone the busa..i think ill be defending the busa honer but wondering if i have a chance..

Depends on the rider's skill and their weight mainly, as well as any bike mods, especially gearing. Don't be too upset if you get smoked in the 1/4 mile.

The Bmw is much quicker then my Gen 1 I ran a friend who has a Gen 2 from a stand still and a 30mph roll weight wise he about 50 pounds lighter then me and was good as a rider. I beat him 4 or 5 bike length from the stand still and again about the same from the roll on's.

To give u a idea my Gen 1 dyno at 168hp. I ran a 9.89 on the 1/4 at 141mph. on a Mich 2ct street tire. I would think the BMW would be in the low 9's

The Quickshift on the BMW is AWESOME there is no pause between gears just hold the throttle wide open and shift with ur Foot.

Most of the new 1000s will beat the Busa through the 1/4 or it will be very close. After the 1/4 the Busa will eventually walk away.

I raced a female friend who has the BMW. She weighs about 120lbs, I weigh 200. From a dead stop to about 140 she had about 3-4 car lenghts. We raced 3 times with a the same results. She stopped pulling on me and I started to catch her but we both shut down at around 140.

I ran a S1000RR w a full Akra&tune from a roll about a half dozen times..he said he made 195rwhp. My Gen2 is not stock,I pulled him each time. If I was stock he woulda killed me

All motor,no spray or turbo needed...Ive seen what they trap in the 1/4..Im not worried

You're making assumptions&you havent the first clue as to what my bike runs...foolish on your part
