Just found out that the MMP TD on 6/25/07 has been changed to the Perimeter course (AMA configuration). It's 3.02 miles and doesn't include the infield.
They'll be putting up a "C" group later. I might have to sign up for that if I can't get into a B group soon. Hopefully I'll be able to bump up.

I know you guys are kinda bummed about it being the AMA configuration. I personally wouldn't mind trying the smaller course and compare my lap times to the AMA guys.
But seeing that you guys already paid for the full course and 2 groups, I can definitely see how that can be a problem. You're not getting what you paid for.

I'm going to call Travis(Apex) and see what is going on. Don't think it'll change anything though...
Just got off the phone with Travis. He said they have gotten a barrage of emails wanting the Perimeter course. Personally I have a feeling that there are some racers influencing this decision. Possible practice time?? Or is it just a bunch of non-racers wanting to compare lap times with the AMA guys??
When we talked about 2 groups increasing to 3 groups, he said that it has to do with the tracks pricing. hmmmm Here are the numbers as I know.
2 groups 70 riders per group max.
3 groups 60 riders per group max.
2 groups at Perimeter rate($235) = $32900
2 groups at Full rate($255) = $35700
3 groups at Perimeter rate($235) = $42300
The Perimeter course can't cost anymore than the Full course. But the Perimeter with 3 groups is going to bring in $6600 more than the full course.
