ok well guys (and girl) we actually have a date and so far we've actually planned well in advance (not normal for us :poke:) so let's get this route down I'm pretty much familiar with the local area's to me every other ride I've ever taken was leaving CA so up further north I'm not too familiar with but first things first lets get a starting point I really don't care where I go as long as I'm riding there. so what say everybody and by the looks of it plan for a long ride :beerchug:

Exactly, we need a time and starting location (I'll be with Bosshound). The actual route needs to be decided...I too, don't care, as long as we get some twisties. Doyle

works for me seeing as BA and I are the only two in the southern area of norcal. As long as he's good wit it I am can we get an Amen on this route ? Mind you the road may take us elsewhere too but really that's the great part of the ride.

How about up Cache creek canyon and then up 29 to Butts Canyon and Pope Valley? At this time of the year it would be a long haul over to the coast for the Sac riders...just sayin...2hip

Last time I was out there was late Sept. Did they finish the road construction? That's a nice run with just a few people. Hardly any cars traveling past the Casino.

Not! Just got back from the coast a few hours ago, 385 miles. Nine hours. Up with the sun, gone with the wind.

Has anybody been on Berryessa Knoxville rd. It goes from upper end of Berryessa to Lower lake. You will have to cross 5 to 7 creeks. Depending on the winter. Some you will have to walk your bike through and will probbaly go down so slippery. But nice ride. I had to make a dirt bike out of mine at one crossing, I wound on the creek bed you know those nice rocks that are smooth and round. Didn,t go down just a lot of sand everywere.

Bosshound don't do goat trails.

How did you manage to get off the concrete? Washed overboard?

FYI, HWY 29 east of Clearlake headed to Williams is comleted and it couldn't be better. I highly recommend starting in Napa...either up Mt. St. Helena or over the top going on Trancas up to Lake Berreyesa...Through Pope Valley/Butts Canyon...over to Middletown. stay on 29 headed to Willams and take..Cache Creek canyon down to 80. Cuts in near Esparto...Excellent assortment of big sweepers, twisties, very little traffic once out of Napa...Kinda of in between and fair for San Jose guys and Sac guys/gal...If you would accept a half naked Busa with the group I'll throw in with you...I don't want to put all the plastic back on:laugh: 2hip
If you decide on this route I can even get some soup and sandwiches for us at home 4 and hour break if interested...2hip

I'm screwed....I got so excited about the ride that I forgot about work...I'm scheduled for a double at the hospital on 01-02-10...there is almost zero chance of getting replacements since we are so thinly staffed right now. I am totally bummin! 2hip

We were dragged on that road once. Bike was a MESS by the time we got home. Was really nice scenery though. Back side of Barryessa waiting for everyone else to come off that road...
