Pics probably after dinner...

That's your punishment for being naughty.

Glad to see you guys today....even if conditions were not ideal. Us SoCal peeps dont have too much to complain about when it comes to weather. I lived in the Carolinas for many years......now that is ridiculous.

Great seeing you, too, Vinny.

Concur in your assessment that the weather was not 'ideal'. Look forward to seeing you again, sooner than later~:beerchug:

Alright you sick guys yesterday. And those of you with work obligations and such. Don't forget about today. 8;30 meet up at the greenfield exit off the I-8. Ride at 9:00. We are rididng the twisties out to the far east county to get Copperone closer to his Az home. See ya there suckers.

OK, so I'm going to start launching this weekend's pix

Starting with Friday, when Dwayne (mschivs173) and I hoofed it out to El Centro to meet Danny (Copperone) and escort him to the land of palm trees, sunshine, and the hottest Hooter's girls anywhere...

We slabbed it back on I-8 then veered off on Japatul and took some twisties back to San Diego.

Lamb, Danny and I went to Hooter's (Mission Valley) on Friday night for dinner. The Hooter's were in spectacular form.

After dinner, we came back to welcome Big O (Owen) to town...he and Lamb brought their 'busas to my place and we bedded the machinery down for the evening...

Saturday morning, after Danny and I went to breakfast, Dwayne came over, then Lamb and Owen... Danny had preceded us to the gas station, so he missed out on these pix...Sorry, Danny.

After we fueled up, scooped up Danny, we headed for the Pala Casino Gas Station to meet Vinny (who was sporting his Husky Motard (Husquvarna)... The weather was not cooperating and the roads were intermittently wet...but we pressed on.

Initially, we were outside, but as we awaited the others (who did not show), it started really raining...

Through the pouring rain we rode from Pala, deciding to completely skip our foray up Palomar Mountain, and rode into Santa Ysabel. It was pouring... We fared pretty well, though, no one getting soaked, thanks to good road-gear. Vinny came totally prepared for this, complete with his rain-suit, and stayed dry and toasty warm. The picture-taking stopped through this period...as there wasn't really a reason to stop.

We took Highway 67 back to San Diego, and while coming over the pass, we rode into a low-lying cloud. It was thick as soup and visibility dropped to less than 20'. We were cold, the rain was coming down and we just wanted to get back to the warmth.

After getting off 67 and heading West, we got out of the storm and the roads dried up. Life was getting back to normal.

To end the evening, Owen, Danny and I went to Mona Lisa for dinner...before getting ready, though, I snapped this pic of Danny enjoying the view from my lower patio...

Sunday morning didn't look very much more promising. The temperatures dictated that we dressed in layers...

We went to Antique Row, again, and met a couple of other friends of mine (Shon on his BMW, and Wayne on his Concourse and Jimmy on his Ducati 1098s). We hit the road shortly after, save for Jim, and headed out to our Sunday meet-up point...Greenfield Avenue Mobil station.

We took some twisty roads (some of Danny's old favorites) out to the country to try to stay lower in elevation as we wound Eastward to get him to a jump-on point for I-8 and heading home. Here's a couple of pix from Japatul to Lyon's Valley intersection.

Sounds like a good time was had by all, (all that showed ) Sorry the rain had to show up, But sounds like it didnt slow you down to much.

Nice Pics

Whoa...I forgot a couple of pix taken on our trek to Santa Ysabel...it's a place where Harley dudes and dudettes hang out on the weekends...totally deserted, and closed for the weekend 'due to weather'. That's not a joke.
