Socal 2006 ride!!!!

I wouldve loved to have made it BUUUUT.. my EMPLOYEE wanted to take some extra time off so being the awesome boss i am i had to work to take up the slack..
You must have a SUPER WONDERFUL employee that busts her butt doing 800+ mile days to be so willing to give her so much time off!

Of course now she needs a vacation to recouperate from two weddings and three days of riding!

I want to thank "the guy" who got the welding shop owner to let us use his compressor too!
Here's the plug, the day after, still holding 15 lbs of air.
I don't have the thumb test down just yet...

I'm going to replace the tire tomorrow.
And thanks to "the guy" that let me use his knife to cut the plug, and my finger...right after Charles said, "Don't cut your finger"

I had the bright idea to leave my jacket zipper down a bit when it got hot sat -- wasp flew in and lit me up
Fokker got me 3 times on my belly

Lamb has photos and will post shortly. 808 miles for me on both days. The Sat. ride was fantastic. We tore up some asphault and a couple of times had a cycle train 5-6 bikes deep riding the fast half of the pace. On Sunday mr. no-busa (welcome to the best bike site on the net) showed us his roads. Big Bear. What great roads up there! You guys that live up near there are really lucky!

Lamb!!

Awesome to finally meet you. Great rider too!! Sat was the Shid!!! I'd say that was prolly the best group I've EVER ridden with. The pace was burning and everyone was running a tight formation, yet it wasn't DANGEROUS!! DUDE!!! we all gotta get together soon for another one!!!

+1 on Big Bear. I'm only 1/2 hr away from there. I usually do the back side of the hwy 18 going into Lucerne Valley. But the front side where Aaron lives ROCKS!!!

Oh yeah. 7 levels, Mesa gRande and Palomar were my personal highlights.

The worst part: Ortega Hwy. Fuggin eh, I was so tired mentally and physically that dodging cages was no longer my cup of tea.

Sat was the the best ride I can remember -- I was finally familiar enough with palomars east grade that I stepped it up -- yahoo

I will need some of those knee "thingys" soon

I am sure everyone else saw the state trooper on the way down too
I think I was tailing the pimp down and saw him brake in a straight and knew something was up.
I hit traffic on the 76 on the way home too -- got a helluva charleyhorse in my left leg too.
Did BA ever catch up to you guys -- He pulled up next to me at the light by the casino and I told him the turn to temecula you guys had taken was about a mile back.

Yes gtr pimp! We will ride again! Lamb would love another trip to bigbear area. He might ride up there in a month or so. When he does he will hit you up!
The backside of the 138 that we went down reminded me alot of the tightside of Palomar.:D

Saturday's ride from the Pimp's point of view. here goes:

Rider's meeting/prep. 8:30AM just after Breakfast.

The Sat ride was definately one of the best if not the best group ride I've been on!! Fast pace, but no idoits or bad decisions. Going up 7 levels, I'm going as fast as I want to go on the street. Glance in my mirror in one of those 180degree right handers, and I see a line of bikes right behind me!!! Way
