none of the after market stuff fits like factory stuff. Even the high dollar fiberglass race sets dont have holes drilled and need to be shaved in spots. For the $$$ you save the hong kong stuff isnt bad. An ametuer just cant install them. Bring it to a body shop and get it fitted on. I have a buddy that just put a set ona ZX14 he wrecked at the track. Bike looks better than when it was new. But they didnt go on easily. A lil shave here and bump there and you will never notice it. If you are looking for CAR SHOW PERFECT??? Spend $2500 on a set of Suzuki fairings from the dealership.

I've seen and heard alot about these "ebay type" fairings. seems like you got about a 50/50 shot of getting good ones. I've heard lots of horror stories but also the same amount of good stories but I can say I've seen these cheap fairings in person 3 times and the 3 sets I saw in person looked great.

the installer has a lot to do with this type of thing we used to do a lot of import kits back when I worked at the bodyshop. Not an easy task to make it fit and we charged extra to make it fit perfectly. But sometimes you need to remember you can't make chicken soup outta chickens**t.

So the verdict... maybe they will fit, maybe not. Sounds like the money saved on the initial purchase is spent makin them fit.

OK he sent the pictures to the seller as requested, The seller told him that those plastics were unacceptable and that he was going to contact the manufacturer.

Thats all I know for now but it does sound like the seller is going to make it right.

I don't think he's "protecting" them as much as he is trying not to give a good seller a bad name. If the guy has a good e-bay rating and is going to correct the problem and make the sell right then theres no need to throw him under the bus. If he had a bad rating and was going to do nothing to correct th problem then I would expect him to share with us the name of the seller. This does not sound like an ongoing problem with the seller. Just my opinion.

I have a set on my Wife's track bike. The fit is pretty bad in spots, but like has been said they are cheap & look good from a distance.

What about the paintwork of the fairing kits?

From a distance it looked good, and for the most part fairly close, But if you really looked there were particles in the paint some runs and some waves, There was one panel that wasnt even painted on the inside, The plastics were Black and the inside of one panel was white, All the rest were Black on the inside, Just this one.

If they fit correctly I think he would have kept them.

They have contacted him and gave him the option of replacing them or getting a refund, He is torn but I think he is just going to get the refund and try to find some OEMs. alot more money probably but at least they will fit right.

There is a company selling plastics on Ebay with several thousand feedbacks on the plastics and they are overwhelmingly "good" (like 99.8%)...

The company is in HongKong and the parts are shipping from there as well

Example is the ZX Kawi bikes.. Full set $350 $225 shipping (14 pieces?)
