We are getting close... We are working to get all prices down and not just a single item for a group buy thing... Not everyone interested will want the same thing so we are working on a way that you can order whatever you want and get a discount too....

I am usually pretty much content not listening to my dear sweet wife when were riding. Hehehe

Thanks Captain, it might be nice for a bike to bike thing.

I'm interested cause I want my Nuvi 780i hooked to the auto com (it already has a built in bluetooth to my cell and built in MP3 player) along with the ability to talk to my wife on longer rides.

Autocoms are the best I own 3, 2 of super pro avi and the one below it that can run off 9volt battery or 12 volt... Love them. I run I-pod and kenwood radio

I will have a GPS (either Garmin Zumo 550 or 665) and an Escort Passport X50 radar detector. I don't want to be tethered to the bike so I am looking for a system that will wirelessly let me hear both in my helmet. Obviously I need to have the radar detector cut in over the GPS any time it has an alert but otherwise be able to get GPS/XM/MP3 from the Zumo.

Can I get this functionality with Autocom including wireless to my helmet? Surely someone on a Hayabusa forum has done something similar with a radar detector.

Thanks.

I don't know of anyone that will let you be completely untethered unless you have a chatterbox on your helmet and even then you will have some sort of tethering to do all the things you want...

Thanks for responding. By untethered I just mean from my helmet speakers to some com unit. The GPS and radar detector are the only two devices going through a com unit and all will be be wired to the bike for power. The radar detector will be wired to the com unit and the GPS could be either bluetooth or possibly wired to the com unit. I don't care about rider/passenger intercom or phone. What I'm looking for seems minor compared to having several peripheral devices, intercom, and phone. But I don't have much experience with this stuff, hence my plea for help.

I think what I am hearing is that you want speakers in your helmet and a mic but no cables that run from your helmet to your bike. Your GPS and radar detector will be hard wired to the bike. As far as I know there isnt anything out there that is going to bluetooth all of those devices to your speakers.

Most com systems have a central unit that excepts devices via direct connection or via bluetooth. Then the central com unit relays all those to the helmet. The key is finding one that has the correct prioritizations. I was hoping Autocom could do this which is why I responded to this thread back in March. I'll make some calls today to see what I can find out. Autocom may be able to do what I want but I need to buy soon so this group buy/discount deal you have been working on may be too late for me.

I actually found a system last night that can do what I want but it is pricey and not well established. I won't discuss it here because it isn't appropriate in your thread.
