**WARNING**WHEEL BEARING**WARNING**

My wheel bearing assy came apart, and out completely while riding.
I have been hearing a weird noise after I worked on the bike till 3+am
last thursday. It was like a screech every now and then. It was roational noise.
Also felt wobble,
Just Monday or Tuesday I tracked it down to being the wheel bearings.
Wednesday I ordered new seals and bearings from Ebay.

Later after work, after I ordered them, I was picking up my lady friend
and halfway to her home, my wheel bearing goes out completely.
The wheel constantly kicked to one side, making terrible sounds, and at times
low speed terrible wobble. After taking her home, I was lucky to make it home.
Once I got home I saw the wheel bearing assy, or whats left of it just sitting outside the wheel, resting on the axel nut.

So just so you guys know, the first indication of the wheel bearing going bad
PLEASE ORDER NEW ONES AND CHANGE ASAP. This is nothing to procrastinate about!!

Had I been on the highway, I would not be in this great health, or even alive
as of right now.

yes it could have been soooo much worse than this
I just want to make example of myself from this.
Noise in critical areas need to be checked out fully
soon as possible.

I have been through so many wheels front and back
Had I known about bearings, I would have saved them all...
I had no idea about them
But im sure these wheels have plent miles on them
I wouldnt mind spending the very little money changing them out
once a year

Glad it turned out OK and no one got hurt, as well as the bike being OK.

Just curious, what mileage on that bearing?

Do you transport the bike often with a front wheel chock?

Glad to hear that you did not have an up close and personal meeting with Mr. Asphalt. When will the new parts be in?
