I currently have michelin pilot hpx tires on my busa, ive never had a problem with them, but are they good tires for the busa, i know people say that the bike will eat tires, so im looking at the market and asking questions before I replace them

Avon Storms worked pretty good when I ran them.

Running Pirelli now but only because they came with the 240 kit i bought but seem to be doing ok for now

Very old technology, I ran them thru 2004.

Not very sticky in my opinion.

You will get the same mileage with a Dunlop Qualifier or Bridgestone 021.

On your tire wear, switch over to a sport-touring tire and you won't notice the difference.

Stick just fine. I have photographic evidence.

Wow, really got some good info their, it rains a lot over here and i ride almost every day, except when the ice comes out, i take it that the storms are good with rain, or is their a tire better suited to that.

Pirelli's new Angel tires are supposed to be great in the rain as well!

Ying Yang, if you want great mileage you'll end up giving up great grip. Sort of depends on your riding habits. Lots of great bike tires out there. Haven't looked at a consumers report in years. Don't know if they have ever compared bike tires.

All i've had is d-lop quialifer's on the busa. Went with the roadsmart rear and I will be trying the front roadsmart as well. Good stick and good mileage.

I'm surprised at how many guys run old school tires such as Dunlop 208, Bridgestone BTO14, Michelin PP & 2ct, Pirelli Diablo etc. Tires are like computers, what's hot today soon becomes out dated and old school.

As Dadofthree says, there are lots of good tires out there so do your research and choose wisely.

There are two performance tires that have my attention for the upcoming season, Dunlops Qualifier 2 and Bridgestones BTOO3. Both tires are getting rave reviews. These two tires may be the HOT performance tire for 2010!

My favorite performance street tire has been Dunlop's Qualifier. If the new Q2 is an upgrade as it appears to be, this will be a great confidence inspiring tire. However, by the sounds of your question it appears a dual compound touring tire may be your best bet for mileage and enough side grip to satisfy your cornering needs.

My next set of busa tires will be Bridgestones BTO16 front and BTO21 rear! I'm sure whatever you choose will work just fine!

Dunlop Qualifiers are garbage on heavy bikes like the Busa. Fronts are usually cupped after a 1000 miles.
