Its for guys who have calves the size of grapefruits. I can tell you that it is really a comfortable riding boot. The height of the toe section is nice and short - great for shifting & braking feel.

Its Joe Rocket's Velocity boot. Sidi also makes one very comparable.
But just wanted to share with you guys that are having trouble finding something comfrotable to wear whilst out hauling ass!

I have worn my Icons in the past since they do not go all the way up the calf. They are more comfy for all-day wear - but these are better suited for riding.

Anyways... Be good to you this New years and ride well this weekend!

My Icons are wearing out. I'll have to check those Rockets out. Good find!

Nice boot!

I looked at those before settling on the Oxtar Jupiter. The one thing I don't like about the Oxtar is that it's a pain to keep lacing them up. At least they have velcro to cover the laces.

I do like the looks of the Velocity boot, though!

I don't think my icons are crap - but they are heavy and also big. They are actually comfortable for wearing around too.

Nice looking but do they have ankle protection

. That's where most people get injured in a get off

They do come up over the ankle. Thats what I am most concerned with. Do they have the structure of a Sidi Vertebra? No. But they do cover the ankle and have decent padded sides.
