If I can see well enough ahead to be safe, I usually pass on the double yellow.

Lets see do you speed? Its the same thing, actually speeding hit your insurance worse! I use my best judgement if I can safely pass, I do so, but one thing for sure if there are driveways and intersections hell no, thats how you end up dead.
