Tony,

That doesn't sound good at all. I would do your best to get that back to the dealer you bought it at immediately. Does the bike feel like it is getting hot? Could be electrical malfunction, that sounds way out of character for Suzuki.

i know the breakin period will make it consume oil, but can it really be that low after 300 miles?

my fill window is totally empty. lol. guess i answered that question

make sure the bike is standing straight up when you check it, and I would do exactly what Jason said, Take it back to the dealer, If for some reason they didnt fill it up correctly its there problem, Might have internal damage, Popcorn is not an option.

use normal oil for breakin, was the bike level when you checked the oil sight glass? you can't check it when the bike is leaning on the kick stand. where are you from?

Never have understood that theory they have about that, Unless you have a stand its really hard to check by yourself.

You can go to synthetic later, For now use normal, We cant stress enough, You really need to take it back to the dealer you got it from. Or was it a individual you bought it from.

Definitely take it back to the dealer, or better yet, call them and make them come pick it up. If you are a newbie, don't add any oil unless like the others said, you check it with the bike standing straight up. The sight glass will be empty leaning on the kickstand. Before I added anything, I would get it back to the dealer.

Did I mention, TAKE IT BACK TO THE DEALER!!!!!!

owens? :poke:

Tony if you are serious, take it back to the dealer asap. Anything you may do could exasperate the damage and/or void the warranty.

It makes it very easy to check the oil level at the factory when they preassemble the bikes.
