don't worry it goes down considerably when you turn 25... atleast mine did.

The busa is my first bike as well. At least my first street bike. I am 31 years old and I resect my bike to the fullest. I don't think I would have been ready for it when I was 21 years old. Good luck, take your time.

Almost seems like a little trolling going on.

An identity calling itself TheWheelman has been trolling around a few automotive boards that I have been a member of for quite some time.
On one site he claimed to be a professional driver living in the SouthEast that transports dignitaries.
He also claimed to own several high powered, armored ultraluxury cars, and was very quick to be labeled troll.
Sounds like the same guy...

If you NEVER touched a motorcycle in your life, this will at least get you going. But going straight to the Busa is like flying an F-18 without first learning in the simulators or the smaller aircraft.

RELAX boys....wheelman will not be getting a Busa when he hears the insurance quote....it will be $2000 to $3000 and he will reconsider.

I had a wickedly fast Norton 750 commando that was faster than anything in northern Illinois at age 17. 31 years later I have a busa.....it will depend on a couple of things as to weather wheelman makes it to his 25th birthday...
1) reflexes
2) common sense
3) maturity
4) squid factor

thanks for the response, positive and negative both, i am not plannig to get the bike today or anything like that, it wont be until sometime in the spring... as for motorcycle safety courses, they are a must in my opinion, just like driving education courses where you get actuall instructed behind the wheel time. insurance quote doesnt really concern me, you've gotta pay to play. as for comments about trolling, nope, i am no dignitary or any of that BS, just another enthusiast grabbing up as much information as i can... I am a member of several sites with similar identities, but not a troll. I have considered smaller bikes, like the GSXR 600, and the honda CBR, but they are simply not as comfortable as the hayabusa, at 6'4" and about 235, the busa fits much better than the smaller bikes, Im not after stupid crazy speed, even if it sounds like it, since i do want the best of the best, and i did mention the 'stang, but as for comments about that, the mustang is a very streetable car even when pumping out that kind of power, if you keep it out of boost, and if you are smart enough to only race at a track, well i would say thats a big part of responsibility. oh and i mistyped it is actually closer to 600hp, not 700, big fingers small keyboard... again thanks for the responses..

you're crazy and you're stupid. You might get lucky, but odds are that you'll end up a statistic. Don't assume that being able to drive a powerful car translates into being able to drive anything fast - or do you think you could learn how to fly in an F-18? Learn how to ride on a bike that doesn't want to kill you from the get-go. You can always trade up to a 'Bus after you've learned the ropes.

you know what I am tired of this topic personally. I know people try to talk sense into people about waiting to get the busa but why? if he is an adult let it be. I have so many people who dont ride run their mouth to me about i have a death wish cause i ride a bike, who the hell are they to judge me? this seems like the same thing the guy is 21 let him live life. I dont want to die, but if I do im ready for it. If someone loves doing something then they should do it and enjoy it without being bashed for living their life like they want to.
