You won't gain any power....the ratio just makes it "feel" snappier.

The problem is going + on the rear shortens the wheelbase and more wheelie prone. - on the front extends the wheelbase so you don't get the same "feel"...

Personally, if you aren't racing or adding power....I wouldn't mess with the gearing (other than HWY mpg like Sous did)...

Wheelie prone, a problem?

I actually went -2 on the front due to advice from my local dealer. I love it. Feels like your in the fat of the power curve much more in each gear. Not sure about top end but I had it up to about 170mph which is plenty fast enough for me.

im thinking of+2 or +3 in rear...sixpack have you tried +2 inthe rear?

I went plus 3 per sixpack's recommendation and I love how it rides. I actually got aftermarket wheels and had to get a another sprocket to fit the new wheels. if you decide to go +3, check my add in the classifieds for some genII parts. I have the sprocket listed on there or just pm me.

Keep an eye on your chain and sprockets, that puts a LOT of stress on everything...

I wanna put 5 th 6th undercut so you don't loose any acceleration . I bet fuel economy would jump up 3-5 I already get 45-55 on the highway. I only weigh 170 though. I'd really like to know what rcc stage 2 with undercut gears get for mpg

I just went from stock 18-43 to 17-46 and hate it for the drags I get 5 more mph and faster 60' times but run 1.5 sec. Slower can't figure it out racing again this afternoon to see if I can get into the 10s at least don't know why but she's only hit 10.7 best time with old sprockets and I have powercommander xtre and full exhaust and bmc race filter
