Troopers chase street racers

I know they are talking cars and we all ride responsibly within the speed limits , however they are impounding cars for racing. A few choice excerpts:

As of Sunday morning, troopers had seized 12 cars worth $5,000 to $150,000 and expected to confiscate 20 more. ($150K????!!)

Troopers began serving arrest warrants on 72 people this weekend in the Triad, just months after they arrested 14 people in Raleigh for racing cars at high speeds on public roadways. :O

"We're running 80 [mph], and they're pulling away from us," Sgt. Rodney Robles says.

Betcha lots of former owners at the auction unless they are in the pokey...

I wonder if any tow truck drivers were aholes when towing. I'm sure there were some nice cars. Just hitch 'em up regardless of any damage they cause.

i heard most of these cars are going to be used as undercover cars for stings , my father is a police officer

& yes there was a Supra with over 100k in it that was inpounded
