colorrite SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Finally after waiting for months, colorrite came out with the '04 red paint. I had to touch up my right side fairing and paint my inner fairings around the tank. I sent them around $300 for 1 QUART of base coat and 1QUART of topcoat (no, not a misprint). The factory paint has a pink basecoat and red topcoat. Colorrite sends me WHITE basecoat and a red topcoat with a slight blue tint to it.I called them and they said those colors are different from the actual factory colors, but they are correct and when both applied, they will give me a perfect match.......BULLSH**!!! Dull pink!!!! So we had to invent a red to spray which is damn, damn close but not exact. So now we have to do the whole damn bike for it all to match. They gonna make this white boy act a fool!!!

call them on it!if you have to paint whole bike anyways you didnt need there color match let them know.cuse that is bs .

I emailed them about the 03 anniversary copper/orange cause I'd like to paint my mirrors and bar ends.  They responded with this

We have matched many parts from these bikes, and there are different shades
of both colors.

See (3) pictures to see different shades of color.

We can supply you with the standard, that may or may not match your
particular bike, or for a match to your bike, you can send us a part of your
bike with the color (s) you want and we will match paint to your bike. See
the site for details about how to do this.

If you wish to order the standard OEM formula, order with the year make and
model,. and state the color you want either Copper or Orange metallic.

Do you have this color available, and how is it available?

I just installed a set of chrome sliders for a guy(40th busa) and he had a small bottle of touch up from color rite, I painted inside the holes so it would not reflect black on the chrome. It looked real good to me but, it was lacquer not enamel.

The fortieth is Copper with black frame. It was premixed, all I had to do was shake and apply.

I think you are confusing them when you ask for '03 Anniversary Copper/Orange. It seems as if you are asking about a two color Busa rather then a single color Busa. While I don't know what the official name of the 40th Aniversary Busa is called, I know it isn't Copper/Orange.

color-rite is overpriced..you might want to try an auto paint store to see if they can match your paint

The white was supposed to be applied first then the red, which I did but it didn't work. I'm calling them today again for a refund...if not, I hope they get 200 emails from you guys telling them you won't buy from them. The only good thing is that my new color is actually better than what I had, and it's still red like I wanted but I'll have something different next time I'm at a bike meet and 5 other SE models show up. It's just all my time and $ wasted I'm pissed about.
