Cat lovers rejoice!!

I am still undecided on cats. There are positives and negatives. For example:

Pros:
1. Cats are soft and sometimes cuddly.
2. "¦hmmm"¦. let me get back to this list later.

Cons:
1. Cats sometimes randomly crap in strange locations.
2. Cats constantly shed.
3. Cats sometimes randomly pee in strange locations.
4. Cats sometimes cough up hairballs.
5. Cats sometimes throw up.
6. Cats scratch things.
7. Cats get into and on top of everything.
8. Cats do not listen to you.
9. Cats scatter litter everwhere.
10. Cats ruin blinds and rub snot all over house windows.
11. Cats knock things off counters.
12. Most the time cats are independent and non-cuddly.
13. Cats meow.
14. Cats sometimes sneeze snot all over things.
15. Cats wake you up begging for food way to early in the morning.
16. Cats attack each other making a terrible scream that wakes you up with a semi-cardiac arrest.
17. Cats constantly sleep.
12. That is probably enough for now"¦

Nevermind

Risen from the dead, cause the thread was at least moderately entertaining for a little while. Fighting about cats N Dogs is pretty silly. Just remember, that for many people, their pets aren't just pets, they are their family, their kids, and are looked at as such.

I love my dogs too, but cats are smarter... ;)

I used to have a cat the was house trained. No litter box. He had a little kitty door. And when they mess in the yard it's buried like it should be.

If I lived out in the sticks, I'd not have a liter box and just instal a cat door. However in town this is just irresponsible.

Then again out in the woods the cats are going to have some real predators to worry about... So I dunno.

I'm working on the plans for our new house, something I think I will do is design a little "Liter Room" out in the garage or something with a little kitty door for access. That way I don't have a box of poo in the house, and the cats still have access without running round the hood...

I like cats and dogs. But I don't like poop more. So we don't have any. At least till our kids are gone. Pets are just like kids and we have 4 of those. My wife says she has 5

We've tried two of the automatic ones with varying degrees of success... We have the round bowl style now and it works well, there's some scatter but otherwise it's ok... But it still leaves you carrying little bags of crap down to the trash.

I dunno, I want to get the box out of the house completely, some sort of trapdoor to a room built in the garage or just outside would be ideal...

i had the litter maid and that sucked cause my cat would make a big pile and it woulf just get stuck on too much litter and go back and fourth for like 15 minutes until i woke up to fix it

I liked them, so they dont work? I can NOT swing 350 for the globe style.

Seems they all work to a point, haven't tried the ball style thingi though. What I mean is that sure they all scoop turds outta the liter, but in doing so tend to make a special brand of mess themselves which then has to be cleaned up. Just seems a little ho-hum...
