Brake job already?

Question, I was riding my bike this weekend, first time in a month (Was on Vacation) and noticed my front brakes kinda sweaking. Like minor squeak but noticable, my buddy even noticed it while on his bike. I have a little over 3,000 miles on my 08 busa. Is that already enough to need a brake job? I don't ride it hard or anything. Ideas??

No worries with that small amount of mileage.... you are far from needing a brake job.

From your description, I would say you simply have some accumulated brake dust... that is likely enough the culprit.

or maybe even a lil rust built up from sitting for so long

You don't need new brakes. Remove the pads, take a little sand paper to the pads then clean your rotors with brake clean. They will be as good as new.

sweet, thanks for the info, I just know that normally when your car brakes start to squeek it usually means you need to get a brake job.

Your brake pads have 1 or 2 groves in the center, these are like tire wear bars.

Your brakes are probably just dirty.

Do a pretty aggressive stop. that should clean them off
