Sorry 'bout that. Sometimes they segway like that. Back to the reflectors.

Great job. I'll have to check that out for my JR gear. And only 20 bucks?

Thanks.

LOL dm_gsxr,

The sew job was $20 and the reflective items were a couple bucks. How do you put a price on piece of mind? I still watch but not as worried...

Yeah good ideas all, also remember that a bright helmet helps seperate us from the clutter on busy streets in the daytime.

I bought a stack of 3-M reflective Tape awhile back and by applying it here and there you really can increase your night time visibility.

I put on Hyper Lites, you can not miss them, bright and flash, worth every dollar.

Oh and not that Refletivly yours isn't a good source, but i bought all my tape and such from GALLS. They supply a good bit of the gear and "Stuff" that I use once in awhile for the stuff I still do for folks in Tampa and they seem to have some of the best prices on their tape. May not have a bunch of interesting die cuts but still a good value I think.

Galls Graphics Store Click on the link and select "Roll Striping". 1"X60" for like $7 good stuff.

Hey Ram, If you have a moment, turn the lights down low and snap a shot using the flash, should really demonstrate how effective that tape is.

I put reflective tape on both my helmets. My wife says you can see them really good from behind and the side.

This is what I do while on my bike or in my car:

Everytime I come to a stop at a light, I watch for vehicles coming behind me in my mirrors. When they approach, I tap my brake lights a couple of times so they are noticed, while watching for the vehicle to start slowing down. I live my bike/car in gear in case I have to move out of the way, but I've never had to do that.

Cost: $0

Plastering your backside and bike with reflective decals isn't going to stop an inattentive person from running into the back of you.

Regardless on what you use, you have to look behind you and prepare to either move or bail from your bike when someone is going to hit you. To just sit there and hope no one will hit you is crazy.
