Sorry to hear about another rider going down and almost checking out for good.
Things to think about when you twist the throttle.
How far away from a trauma center am I?
Is there cell phone coverage in the area?
Do the other riders know my ICE info?
If I am the sweep rider and go off the road, will anyone know?
Sweep rider should be taking it easy.
Communications between the riders, especially lead and sweep adds safety to your ride.

If you go out alone, always tell someone your route, and estimated time to return home.

Just a few thoughts to ponder.

God's speed to the down rider.
All be safe, ride smart.

I have to be the Killjoy here. Once again, as usual, it ends up in a near death/messed up rider. Driving like your on the track on public roads is stupid. He claims 100mph, obviously WAY over the speed limit. I don't know what it will take for riders to learn that the street is not a track. Wannabe racers crash all the time trying to be a racer. Would he have crashed doing 10 over the speed limit? Most likely no. Hmmm....maybe speed does kill on the street.

I'm just flabberghasted at the total lack of sommon sense with this ride. It was a recipe for disaster. After all of the Hayabusa.org threads on this very topic, people still ignore all the org advice and continue to put themselves in danger.

Well, enough of a buzz kill. I just don't get it though......
