Mornin' Bill...I still can't reply to threads.
That's pretty cool, as there doesn't seem to be alot of modified Goldwings out there(at least brakes and suspension).
If you ever get a chance to ride it you should see how it compares to the stock one that you rode.
It's supposed to be close to 60° here today and tomorrow, so hopefully it will be, and will melt most of this snow and ice...I miss riding my GW
Hi. When I hit the Big + with the little + quote I can answer.

Flipped the adjustable steering dampner over once I realized that I had room to reach it from the top.
It's tight to get my hand in there, and not with a glove on...but doable.
It'll only take a few times to get the feel from the bars that I want anyway.

It's been in the 40's and 50's all week and windy, so most of the snow is gone
I think my yard will be dry enough to get it out tomorrow...with heavy rain forecast for sunday.
But, it's ready to go down the road now for it's first test ride...it's been a while...

I couldn’t help but notice the US flag hanging vertically. I always thought that when old glory was hung vertically the stars needed to be top left. When hung with the stars top right I thought it meant SOS?
No judgement, just an honest question.

Flying sideways/normal, the stars face forward, towards whatever direction you are moving, like on a car/truck, stars to the front.
Hanging, yes, but that flag is one sided, so it can only hang one direction.
That was/is temporary, as I hung it there when moving some things a few weeks ago.
I need to hang it upside down anyway...which means the country is in great distress, which whether anyone is on the left, right, or somewhere in the middle, that's one thing that I think we can all agree on...world wide too.

If I may delve into the flag realm..........

Years ago when my cousin from Kalamazoo was visiting (Viet Nam vet), we went to a flea market and I spotted a beautiful American flag in a corner of a booth, it was dusty and neglected......I bought it at the value the guy wanted, I didn't haggle....

I hid it until we got home and I took it to the garage and cleaned it so it looked new....it was of a very high quality...

I presented it to my cousin who was in tears because he said it was very thoughtful....I told him to fly it on Independence Day or whenever he wanted.....when he bought his house, one of the first things he put in was a good flag pole and he flew that flag...

Onto another flag story, like the US military, when we leave our military we are presented with a flag.....normally a new one flown for a day over the unit you were in.....

My Colonel came to me as he was setting up my retirement and when he did, I told him I want the flag that is currently flying, he said that has been out there for months and is due to be replaced and he wanted me to have a new one instead. I insisted on the flag outside and he relented.....I didn't want a new flag in a shadow box...I wanted an old one I can touch or fly if I want......so I have this older flag hanging on a pole in my basement which has a few frays and stains on it.......and wouldn't trade it for any other flag.....

....my apologies......back to your awesome Gixxer........

I also took no offense, to that, or most anything else either...I'm pretty laid back in general

Thanks man...but that tail...ughhh...it goes on and on...the 03/04 could've been a 3 seater...I need to swap on a later year tail and subframe at some point...

Yes, the engineers at Suzuki like their big booties for sure......seems as though they always did..

Remember the RF series and the gigantic tails on them?

Yep, the old 900's
I like those, and all those old designs, the TLR, the SRAD, and on into the Busa...I like big bums, lol...but that long narrow tail...I never liked that on the 03/04...but easily fixed...just burn some more dollars...

Staying with the flag theme, I carried this small flag with across many different AORs, it is embossed with the fine dust of Afghanistan and Iraq which turned the white to gray.

The small black item is a piece of black granite off the Canadian war memorial in Kandahar, I happened to be there when it was dismantled and shipped back to Canada

.....and yes Marty, I seem to be suffering from the same sideways photo affliction as you did.....
