How often does you Busa see 6th gear

Every time I hit the interstate. 6th is smooth. I'm in it, but doesn't mean I'm doing over 65mph...

Actually hit it in high speed this weekend, I usually ride in 5th up to 150 and then bleed off speed, we had a closed 7.5 mile road that was very straight and I actually open her up. At 185 in 6th gear wanting to slow down, I let off the throttle, and she coasted. A scary as hell feeling knowing you CAN NOT hit the breaks. At 150 I down shifted and was able to slow down. It took longer to slow down than I really liked. I will not be doing that again.

Rarely. Even the 5th will get you pretty high up.

To previous poster: why can't you hit the brakes at 185?

Why cant you press the brakes at 185mph...

I have with no problems. Well, I maxed at 170 then lost my balls so I slowed down.
but I had no issues tho

I shift into 6th on every ride I take on it.

I'm the same way - most often I ride in 6th if going over 30.

I ride it for fun but also like the great gas mileage it gives compared to all my other vehicles.
I can get over 50 mpg but as of late it's been running in the low 40's.
Fun is addictive I guess.....

must be a harley rider... never use the front brake. If you need to stop quickly, dump the bike.

I run 6th just about every time I ride.

Yep I get it into 6th as early as possible. 35 MPH on level ground she will idle along fine in 6th.
