I don't keep one on the bike, just on my waste. The "trick" is to keep your. Cool when some punk cuts you off and not pul it out just cuz you got one. If you can't keep from loosing your temper you better just leave it at home.

I carry either in my shift jacket (rarely, only when going through bad parts of town) or in the small of the back.

I carry a S&W .40, the non compact, so it can get a little uncomfortable for riding >1hour.

Get a horizontal shoulder holster, nylon, for the most comfort- this will still be uncomfortable if you like to lean down and ride close to the tank though, since the gun will be pressing on your chest.

small of the back is comfortable if you have it positioned at about a 45 degree angle to your draw hand, but its pretty inaccessible in a hurry, since with my leather on I've got to try and reach up under the leather, then grab, then pull up and then back down to get it out... time consuming.

the best solution would be to find a way to holster it on the bike... I've been looking into this....

I typically leave it in the hump while at work- this works unless you feel you're running the risk of a stolen bike at work....

... in which case you shouldn't be riding to work anyways, or should have an armed female security guard riding b*tch at all times.

..preferably one that looks like Maria Sharapova.

Ruger LCP .380... Just toss it in a pocket...jacket pocket or pants, it's that small, cost you about 300 bux. If you decide against that idea, I like small of the back, under your jacket or a really long shirt. Problem with small of the back is when riding our shirts can blow up in the wind and expose the gun (felony brandishing) if not wearing a jacket. Typically if you're gonna need to use it, you'll be off the bike pumpin gas, or someplace parked hangin out. I say this because I assume you aren't gonna road rage while riding, nor pull a drive by on a busa...so it doesn't necessarily need to be accessible while on the bike, but just mainly so you don't get robbed while pumpin gas and such. That's really my only concern. I figure we ride expensive machines that are easily sellable on the black market and highly desired but not easily afforded. Sooo, I figure carrying is cheaper than full coverage insurance, at least in my case!

Check out Fobus paddle holsters too. Very comfortable imo.

I'd rather be judged by 12...then carried by 6!:beerchug:

2nd pic is actually a Kel-Tec inside a fobus paddle, but same exact design as the ruger. Actually I'm pretty sure ruger bit iff of the design after the patent expired...but you get the idea.
3rd pic is a Sig P238...one of my favorites but a couple hundred more expensive and heavier. But, same idea as the other "mouse" guns or ccw guns.

i always stay strapped with my equalizer, a glock 23, shoulder holstered while riding locally and especially on long rides. If not on the Busa then i keep in my center console in my vehicles. Too many crazy idiots on the road for my liking. Never know when that douche canoe wants to try and be the tough guy.

Right now I carry a gp100. I highly doubt I can carry it on my bike tho. I had a keltec pocket 9 but hated it.
I have a p95? 9 that I carry sometimes , I think it would be easier for bike carry. I might look into another pocket gun but I really didn't like how the keltec shot

I have a question without going offtopic:

is it legal to carry in just a shoulder holder over a shirt, or is this deemed brandishing as well?

I can't imagine a LEO or anyone going crazy over a piece thats formally sealed in a shoulder holster..

I've got my ccw, carry all the time, and honestly don't know the answer to that- I've never owned a shoulder holster (although I want a horizontal one.)

edit: from what I'm reading online, its jurisdictional? subject to where you live?

Glock 36 .45, galco in the pants j-hook holster on my left side (left handed). "Carrying isnt suppose to be comfortable, just comforting." -Sarg. Dave.
at work, keep it in a backpack.

I like the look of that Ruger. I have a Makarov .380 that I would carry if I didnt live in the Peoples (not) Republik of Maryland...

I carry either in jacket pocket, pants pocket, shoulder holster or one of those concealment t-shirts. Just depends on what weapon I grab goin out the door. dunno for sure where you are at but here you can carry how ever you please so long as its 100% concealed.

Concealed carry is CONCEALED carry in Ohio.

BUT there are areas in Ohio that allow open carry by anyone, permit or not. The county i live in is one such area.

Also, holstering your firearm on a bike or even in a car has a set of rules to follow. If not concealed on your person, it has to be in a container with a lid and in plain sight.

Check out this this publication for the exact rules, which you should have recieved a copy of from your CCW instructor.
