Concealed carry in NC

Wifey and I just finished the course.

They tell us in NC, if you fire a shot at someone in self defence, no matter how bad the attacker was, they take your gun never to be seen again and you go to jail from a couple to many days until the DA has evaluated your case. You need an attorney after pulling the trigger in all cases.

So what's the point of carrying a gun, best is just to run away, or submit.

The point, the (only) point in concealed carry is to save your life.
