not impressed by the zx-14

While the 14 may not win any beauty contest, those puppies are FAST! I have a friend with one and I can tell you first hand a 14 is no slouch. Brakes are far superior to the busa.

I had thought about trading my boat for a older zx14 but after reading through several forums I found that the zx14 was about reliable as a boat, so I backed out of the deal... Too many horror photos of broken cases, fenders falling off etc... Things may have changed on the newer zx14 models but I've never really heard or seen photos about Busa horror stories... I've sat on the zx14 and liked the feel of the bike but I'd never buy one... The photos are in etched in my mind...LoL

ZX14's are very fast, very comfy bikes with awesome brakes. I switched with a bud who had an 07 for my 03 busa for a days ride. Way quicker bike than my first gen busa was I ended up buying his 14 Its been a great bike in every way, and so far with the usual mods has kept up with everything on the road Just always figured it was better not to mention owning the "dreaded" competition on a busa board, lest I be torn limb from limb

I don't think the 14 is that ugly, a little different that's for sure. Comfy to sit on and definetly not a slow motorcycle.

Cans are nice, color is sharp, but the fins kill it. And that seat looks like something off a moped. And of course the lights....freaky. But in your defense, that's the nicest looking ZX-14 I have ever seen.

I can tell you from firsthand experience that stock for stock the 14 is just as good as the Busa and on the street with average riders is just as fast . Some ways it is better and some ways the Busa is better. If you decide you want to race one you had better have your A game on!!

about the only thing the zx14 has going for it in looks is the wheels....
