Put it in the bathtub, was it with shampoo, rinse well with warm water, stuff a towel in it to absorb as much water as you can and then blow dry it to finish.
That's what I do once a month with mine. Comes out like new.

I disinfect and wipe er out but my lining isn't removable lol. Should I fill er up with soap n water?

Its almost as bad as wearing a used jockstrap.

Only putting your head in it. I wouldn't wear a used helmet from anybody. Safety, cleanliness, main reasons but you just don't know and the few dollars you might save aren't worth the peace of mind. My experience is if it sounds too good to be true it probably is. Just my $0.02 OR you get what you pay for.

Body oil, sweat, puss from scalp pimples, mucus from sneezing and the BO contained in all it. Inspect well for lice and nits.

Used underwear would be safer, at least you could properly sterilize it in scalding hot water and bleach.

so I guess you guys never try on helments in the store. you just buy them and hope they fit
