65 Years Old and Got my 2019 Busa in January. Live in a retirement community with 140,000 other old people, and probably the only Busa. Lots of Harleys and Gullwings. Just installed my exhaust, and is now a low rumble. Stainless naked tig weld mid-pipes from china ($90), and fake carbon mufflers ($38 ea). Some modification to add more baffle, and fab a foot guard. Busa was $14K out-the-door.

Fake carbon mufflers? Those aren’t real Akro cans?

Not Real. The Decal came with the midpipes. I've seen the fake cans up to 570 mm long, which run about $55. Carbon, Titanium (look), Polished, Stainless. Any of the 51mm aftermarket cans slip right on the aftermarket midpipes.

71 in three weeks. Just got my first Busa about six weeks ago. Don't know what took me so long. New seat coming this week.
Except for CF wheels build will be complete.
Will post pix then
Hi. I will be 71 this year. I hope to have the bike done by done by my 74th B-Day. Then off to Loring to see how fast an 850 to 1000 HP busa can go. This build may take 7yrs and $100,000.00. It will be just what I want street, drag and LSR bike.

Hope to be this old going fast. @michael parris heuberger. Neat shifter you thinking anything like this,
Hi. I am not set up for drags, Butt I will race it at New England Dragway in NH. I love that bike that he has and the shifter is cool. I will use a 6th speed air shiftred with a Maxx ECU also. I do not have a lot of money, so I will need time to build it. I think I can get it done by the time I will be 73 or 74. Parts cost so much. Like a MTC Gen 2 clutch is $2,238.90, but with a air boost up grade it comes to $3,136.90.

November 10th 1958 here..........didn't start riding til I was 28yrs old.......so.....does that qualify me for youngster status.........
