What is the difference in the two available thermostats?

Just curious if a different "size" or perhaps different opening points, diameter, etc. Parts are 17670-50F00 for model K4 and 17670-76G00 for K5/K6/K7 models. If could really run either which one is recommended or why use the other? Not sure if it matters but this was found when looking for parts on '06 model.

So the 04 and back busa has a diff thermo than 05 through 07? Diff opening temps I wonder or just design maybe?

Still confusing as places like Schnitz Racing only list the 50F00 and claim its for '99-'07. If it is just the opening temp what are the two temps these open at?
