Went Drag Racing today

So I went dragging a few people today on a long stretch of empty highway outside my city. There isn't any official drag strip around these parts so we do what we can. Anyhow, I faced a number of bikes and beat them all

2007 GSX-R 750 - Yosh slip on, -1 front, +1 rear.
- Beat from a 2nd gear roll on at 50 km/h.
- Beat from a 1st gear roll on at 50 km/h 2 times.
- Beat from a 1st gear roll on at 50 km/h in C-Mode!!! 3 times!! (close, but the busa walked away from it in 3rd gear.)

2006 Honda CBR1000 RR
- Beat from 1st gear roll on at 50 km/h.
- Beat from dead stop drag.

1998 GSX-R 600

-Destroyed.
 
Hmm.. Not really a fair fight there.

Newer Literbikes will walk surprise you on 70mph roll ons..
 
I just ran a stretched 10 over 1000 gixer with several mods including under cut trans air shifter with auto shift by smithabusa intake cams placed on the exhaust side rolled in to whatever their specs are we went from a 30mph kick in second gear and I really didn't have much problem motor to motor, I was far enough ahead I could see him in my mirror he outran me when he ran on the bottle @ 40hp by a bike and ahalf or 2 bike links or so, I think hoodude has done great especially if he hasn't done a whole lot of dragging, good job sir!

Meh, I know it wasn't really fair competition, we were just out having fun. I've been beaten by a '07 gixxer 1000 with full yosh system, K&N, PCIII and -2 front. Couldn't beat him in any gear-for-gear roll-ons. It was slow, but he'd walk away till we got up to about 250 km/h, then i'd pull on him with my taller gears.

Its run what you brung....
So no hard feelings there and congrats on the wins! Never underestimate ANY bike by its decals or you could be starring at a nice set of tail lights...
Remember that most bike races aren't won by make/model but instead by jockey/talent!

it is called "Street racing"

Drag racing is an organized/timed event over a measured distance...

even the journalists are catching on to the difference between the 2 and most publications now recognize that fact (people die street racing all the time and very rarely drag racing)...

Drag racing is also legal....
