I have close to 50k on my 2008 and never had the valves checked..... I am kinda wondering if i should have them checked... My bike seems to run fine still.....I would hate to waste money on getting them checked if nothings out of spec..... I heard its not cheap to get your valves checked, some thing like 400.00$ i think i heard..
