i have an intimate relashonship with God. we argue, and fight, but we talk alot.

i am not really assoaciated with any church at all.

Russ, that is exactly why. You weren't baptized in purified water, but in the mud and blood of life. You've seen the darker side of life, and so can speak from experience when you give counsel to others. And there are those who are heavily associated/involved in their church with no relationship with God at all. Though people look to you for guidance and counsel, you have the humility to understand that you're no better than them, you're "just a dude". I think you should be honored that your brothers and sisters look to you.

RIP Pacman, I hope you find peace, and peace finds the family and friends left behind.
